These terms apply to your use of the Hootio website. Downloaded software may also include a separate end-user licence agreement; where the two differ for the software, that agreement controls.
Website content
We provide product information, instructions and beta downloads for general informational purposes. We may change, correct or remove content as products evolve. Product features shown during beta may be incomplete, changed or discontinued.
Beta software
Beta software is pre-release software and may contain errors. Test it with appropriate copies and backups, keep original camera media, and review all imported files and exported timelines before relying on them for delivery. Do not use beta software where a failure could cause safety-critical, irreversible or unlawful consequences.
Your media and responsibility
You remain responsible for your media, project files, storage, backups, third-party licences and final creative work. Hootio does not take ownership of your content merely because you process it with the software.
Intellectual property
The Hootio name, site design, software, documentation and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the software except as permitted by its licence or by law.
Third-party services
Links and embeds may lead to services operated by others, including Vimeo and the existing download host. Their availability, security and terms are outside our control.
Availability and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website and beta materials are provided without guarantees of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular workflow. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law rights.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms by publishing a revised date and version on this page. These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the Hootio operator is established in Australia, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to you.
